iTunes 10.5.3 zum Download freigegeben

Nachdem man bei Apple während des Education-Events in New York City diverse Neuerungen bezüglich iTunes U vorgestellt hat, wurde gleich noch eine neue Version von iTunes zum Download freigegeben. Diese neue Version bringt eine Kompatibilität in Verbindung mit den Features mit sich, die Apple in New York City präsentieren konnte.

Aus dem Changelog von iTunes 10.5.3 lassen sich die folgenden Informationen entnehmen, die in der englischen Originalfassung vorliegen:

iTunes 10.5.3 allows you to sync interactive iBooks textbooks to your iPad. These Multi-Touch textbooks are available for purchase from the iTunes Store on your Mac or from the iBookstore included with iBooks 2 on your iPad.

iBooks textbooks are created with iBooks Author — now available as a free download on the Mac App Store

Dementsprechend sollte man bei Interesse an den iTunes-Neuerungen das Update auf iTunes 10.5.3 wagen, das direkt ausgeliefert wird. Für das Update muss man mindestens auf Mac OS X 10.5 setzen, was mittlerweile die meisten Mac-User auch getan haben dürften.
